The most important information about Google Adsense that you should know
Google Adsense: Tips for Using Google Adsense Like anything else, you’ll get out of Google Adsense what you put into it. The following optimization tips can help you grow your Google Adsense dollars:
Write interesting content and write every day.
Have more than one site. The more sites you have, the more ads have the potential to get clicked.
Set up channels and monitor your statistics across all sites. If one site is performing oorly, consider changing the content or the ad layout. Experiment!
Change the ad layout and notice which layout works the best for you. There are many different layout options and there’s no way you can know going in which one will perform the best.
If you’re blogging, writingup.com has a list of profitable topics. They state that you don’t have to write on those topics but you might give it a try or at least plug some of them in to the search engines.
Google different key words and phrases and notice how much and what kinds of content and ads you see.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Google Adsense: Why Do I Need Google Adsense?
Because it’s there, it’s fun and it’s free. If you’re reading this, you obviously have some interest in the internet.
You don’t even have to have your own site, although the more sites you use Google Adsense on, the more money you will make.
For example, anyone can write a blog even if it’s just your own opinion on something.
You can also make money referring other people to Google Adsense. By placing a referral button on your site you increase your earnings potential.
When a publisher that you referred makes their initial $100.00 within 90 days of sign-up and is eligible for payout, your account will also be credited $100.00. Additionally, they must never have registered for a Google Adsense account before.
Don’t be intimidated by the html code. It’s already formatted. All you have to do is choose the language and kind of button you would like, and copy and paste the html code to your site. Look for the referral code and more information under Adsense support.
Google Adsense: What is Google Adsense for Search
Google Adsense for Search is different than Adsense for Content but it is just as important to your earning power with the Google Adsense program.
Just like Adsense for Content places targeted ads on your content pages, Adsense for Search places targeted ads on the results page of the search set in motion on your page.
You can use the standard Google search box on your site and the user can then search the web or even your site. When you feel more comfortable, you can change the look of the Google search box, essentially customizing it by changing the colors and using your logo.
The best thing about Google Adsense for Search is that you can track what your visitors are searching for. That is, if the search has two or more hits.
Unique queries will not be tracked. But you can see the top 25 searches performed from your website by clicking on the Advance Report from the Reports tab and specifying a date range.
Google AdSense Programs
Google currently (mid 2005) offers three programs: AdSense for content, AdSense for search, and Premium AdSense.
AdSense for content
AdSense for content is the main AdSense program – contextually targeted ads are displayed on your webpage, and you get paid for every click.
These ads are specifically targeted to the content of your webpage. Consequently, if you change the content of your page, the ads that are displayed would also change.
AdSense allows you good control over what ads get served, since there might be some obvious problems if it didn’t. These include:
Blocking Ads – you choose
While the ad selection is automatic, you can block unwanted ads – such as those from your competitors. You just tell Google which companies to block from your sites.
Reviewing and filtering Ads – semi-automatic
Google has its own strict policies for ad content (no profanity, no racial discrimination, etc). These are filtered out automatically from your point of view. Additionally, you can choose to block additional content through custom filters.
This is slightly different than blocking an advertiser, since with this method an advertiser you generally allow may submit ads that would individually be filtered out.
Allowing the publisher to select an ad In the rare case where Google’s content engines can’t make a clear match of ads to pages, they will let you pick which ads you want served. If you don’t pick, you’ll get public service spots.
The look-and-feel of Ads can be customized
Ads shouldn’t look out of place or be jarring on your website. Google allows you to customize colors and layout. You can choose options provided or have your own custom layout and color applied to the ads.
The advertisers have no control over this; as the material appears on your site, you can and should select how it looks.
Tools for analysis
Tracking and analyzing the performance of any marketing campaign is critical.
Google AdSense provides a range of comprehensive online reports that allow you to monitor and analyze your earnings as well as the performance of ads by many metrics, including size, color, and so forth, so you can make adjustments to maximize the value of the placements.
AdSense for Search
This is another program whereby Google allows you to ad a Google Search box to your website. By doing this, visitors to your site can search the entire internet from your website itself.
In a way, your site becomes a host to Google.
Except you make money!
The search results page that is displayed when a visitor on your website searches through the search box on the site itself, also displays Google Ads (AdWords ads) next to the usual listings, just as it would on Google.com. If the visitor clicks on any of these Google Ads, you get paid as well.
Thus, with AdSense for search you can enhance your income potential beyond what just the content of your actual site can provide.
AdSense for search offers all the same options and controls as AdSense for content. These include ad customization, ad filtering, monitoring and tracking results, and so on.
Google AdSense Premium service
The AdSense Premium service provides advanced functionality and features, provided your website qualifies for it – which in fact very few sites do.
As a base requirement, your website should received at least 5 million search queries or 20 million page views a month to qualify for the Premium service.
Google Adsense Basics
You’ve heard about Google AdSense, but how does it work? Can you really make money by just allowing Google to place ads on your website?
And if so, how much money can you make? The following are the most informational Google AdSense basics you need to know.
You must first have a website before you can apply for a Google Adsense account and start profiting from Google AdSense.
You are more likely to be rejected if you use a free domain, so invest in your own domain.
And make sure that your website makes sense; that may sound obvious, but if you are running a website that is disorganized with random content scattered all over the place, you will not be viewed as professional and will most likely be rejected.
Once your site has been accepted, Google will give you a code to paste on your site, thus enabling them to start placing ads on your site that are relevant to the content of your site.
For example, if your website is about creating scrapbooks, Google might place ads on your site dealing with places to purchase scrapbook materials.
Now, what about making money? Google makes money by advertising. So, by placing ads on your site, you are helping them to advertise by providing them with a place to display their ads.
Every time a visitor to your site clicks on one of the ads that Google has placed on your site, you receive a certain percent of the money. It’s a win/win situation.
Google AdSense allows you to view your account and earnings information at any time, and once a month you will receive a check for the amount of money you earned.
Of course, these are just the Google AdSense basics, and more detailed information can be found at www.google.com/adsense.
So, if you’re dedicated to the website you operate, why not make an extra profit from it as well?
Or, maybe you’re looking for a way to make some extra cash on the side and are interested in a subject enough to create a website for it.
Either way, consider these Google AdSense basics and check into opening a Google AdSense account of your own.
Google Adsense: Dos for Using the Google Adsense Program
Google Adsense is a fun and easy way to make extra money. It’s important to follow the rules though as Google is serious about the integrity of this program.
Not following the rules could result in your Google Adsense account being terminated. Here are a few Dos for using the program:
Read the Terms and Conditions and Program Policies thoroughly.
Read everything you can about Google Adsense. Learn from others’ experiences and mistakes.
Learn how to optimize your site for the most enjoyable and profitable Google Adsense experience. Realize it does take some time and hard work.
That’s why it’s so important that you write about something you care about. Hard work is even harder if you don’t like what you’re doing.
Visit other sites that are benefiting from Google Adsense. Click on the ads only if you are truly interested in the product or service being advertised. Read other people’s blogs and comment on them. Only offer a comment though if it is truly sincere.
Hopefully, these helpful tips will ease you into using the program and help you avoid mistakes that could possibly cost you a lot of time or money.

6 Powerful VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense
VRE — better known as “Virtual Real Estate” is literally everywhere online.
Everytime you do a search on whatever it is your searching for via the Internet you get a list of results. Within that list of results lye’s thousands, if not, millions of pages of Virtual Real Estate that is making someone out there on the WWW some handsome profits.
The question is… “what have you done in order to stake your Internet “VRE” claim so you too can enjoy some of that profit as well?”
If you haven’t started anything yet, that’s okay because I did a little research for you and came up with these “6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate)
Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense” so you too can benefit like the many others out there online.
The first VRE business model I’d like to talk about are — Article Directories.
VRE Model #1. Article Directories.
Article Directories are in my mind are probably one of the best VRE business models on the web simply because they offer your audience and publishers Multiple Channels of information on any topic.
And the facts are, people come online for information.
So, what do Article Directories contain?
That’s right… Information! … and lots of it.
The other great benefit to Article Directories is that you don’t have to write a single word if you don’t want to because the whole purpose of starting your
Article Directory in the first place is to get other people(we also call them authors) to submit their content for your readers and/or publishers to read and use.
Now, the Rule Of Thumb is simple when it comes to growing your Article Directory and that is…
the more authors you recruit, the more your Article Directory will grow, filling it full of targeted information for your readers to digest and for publishers to use on their websites.
It gets better, so keep reading.
Did you know that the more pages you have within your Article Directory means… the more search engine food you’ll have for the search engines to come and index into their database which will then be displayed within the search engines search results.
Remember in the beginning of this article when I was talking about the search engine results being full of Virtual Real Estate. This is where your Article Directories webpages(or your Virtual Real Estate) will be listed for web surfers find.
This also means that you’ll receive a lot of FREE targeted search engine traffic to your Article Directory as it grows giving your authors FREE targeted traffic to their sites and keeping them happy, and at the same time, will be building your VRE nest egg on the WWW.
Are you starting to see the benefits to starting your own Article Directory on the Internet?
I hope so.
But don’t go anywhere just yet, I’m not finished.
There’s two more things I want to talk to you about before this part of the article series ends.
The first is RSS — better known as “Real Simple Syndication” and what RSS does is it allows you to syndicate your Article Directories content or just content in general through an
RSS feed so that any reader and/or publisher who subscribes to a particular RSS feed within your Article Directory will receive ANY new updated content that is published… INSTANTLY!
The other benefit to a RSS feed is… lets say you have 1000 publishers subscribed to one of your RSS feeds and one of your authors submits a new article at your Article Directory,
all those publishers who subscribed to that RSS feed will receive it once that RSS feed updates and when someone clicks on the link within that RSS feed to read the new article, guess where the visitor is sent to?
You guessed it, your Article Directory, with your Google Adsense ads(I’ll talk about that in a second) and whatever other related affiliate links you have on that webpage.
Now… for the BEST part, how-to make a $Profit$ with your Article directory.
I’m telling you, this is the easiest money you’ll ever make for simply supplying your viewers and the Internet(A.K.A. The Information Super Highway) with what it needs the most, Information!
How do you do it?
Heard of Google Adsense(as I mentioned just a minute ago), because if you haven’t, now you have.
What is Google Adsense?
Google Adsense is Googles affiliate program for publishers and how it works is it displays ads targeted towards the content on that particular webpage being viewed.
How do you get paid? Simple. Your reader just has to click on one of the ads within the Google Adsense ad box on that webpage and depending on what the topic is and keyword could pay some handsome commissions(usually between 35% to 50%).
And, guess what? You didn’t even have to do any selling OR follow-up.
Not bad and believe me those clicks add up Fast and by having the search engines returning frequently for regular indexing and having RSS feeds(remember,
when someone clicks on the RSS feed link on someone elses website they get redirected back to yours with your Google Adsense ads on it and other affiliate links)
for other publishers to use on their websites you’ll soon see your Google Adsense profits get Bigger and BIGGER!
Well, that’s it for now. So be sure to be on the look out for my next installment of the “6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In Using Google Adsense”.
